4 things you need to know when buying Branded Sportswear

If you’re planning a sporting event, it can be easy to put branded clothing down as a minor detail. We don’t need to tell you that there’s a lot to organise, but be sure to consider in good time what the attendees will be wearing on the big day. If your guests or worse still staff, pitch up in t-shirts that look more like multi-coloured tents, then you won’t be putting across your company’s professionalism as best you could.

Here are a few tips, which we’ve gleaned after helping hundreds of companies like yours with their branded sportswear, often for a summer time event.

1. Get physical clothing samples to try on!
No matter how clear the dimensions are online, you can be sure the participants will measure themselves in the wrong place and end up with an uncomfortably tight fitting or unattractively baggy item of clothing. For many of our products, we can offer you a sample pack which includes every size.

2. Allow plenty of time.
We recommend starting the process at least 6 weeks before your event. This allows for fitting, proofing, printing, delivering and distributing of your clothing. It’s one thing to have t-shirts which don’t fit, but it’s one worse if the t-shirts aren’t there at all! Our dynamic order processing team will check stocks at an early stage, so if a different product or colour needs ordering, then we will let you know.

3. Don’t just go for the cheapest option.
We understand that our clients have strict budgets, which means it can be tempting to go for basic items to save costs. If it’s a big event with a large audience, you want your logo to look its very best which is unlikely on a poor quality garment. This doesn’t mean you have to go for a famous brand, because we have a range of sportswear that is similar in quality to the big names out there plus we will do everything we can to help you save costs in other ways for instance on artwork.

4. Take a look at the sporty accessories.
One way to really add some wow-factor to your event is by having a few fancy extras. We’ve got lots to impress your guests such as branded phone arm straps, printed water bottles, sweatbands, branded activity trackers. We also have some more traditional sporty options like branded hats and T-shirts. If your event is worth doing, it’s really worth getting some cool products to hand out to the audience or athletes – they’ll more than likely hold onto these products for years after.
